The seminar leader, Mark Gagnon, was born in 1943 in Quebec City. He was raised in both languages and studied at Laval, U of Montreal, U of Ottawa, U of Toronto and York. He graduated from Law School and practiced Law for a short while before joining the Federal Public service where he had a very successful career of nearly 35 years. He served as a Senior Executive for 19 years in a number of Federal Organizations mostly in Ottawa, but also for a few years in Montreal, Quebec city and Toronto. He retired from the FPS in 2000 and founded MARKUS CONSULTING in 2001.

 

The main product of MARKUS CONSULTING is the seminar “Retirement: Adventure or…Misadventure?” which Mark has been given on a regular basis to hundreds of participants in Ottawa, Toronto, Kingston, Montreal, Vancouver, Halifax and Charlottetown. The seminar has met with immense success and word of mouth is the main generator of business. In addition to being the seminar leader, Mark also does some Professional Executive coaching where again he enjoys a lot of success

 

Mark is married and has two sons. He enjoys sports (hockey, golf, baseball) and performing arts. He is an avid reader and concentrates much of his effort on reading and researching matters related to retirement, a subject which he finds absolutely fascinating. Mark has an excellent reputation as a public speaker and he is equally  comfortable in both English and French.
